Unearthed

It has been around 6 months since my last entry and I can't deny that my life has changed though, perhaps not as much as it should have.  In hindsight, I should be proud of myself for having come through although not with the zeal and fortitude I wish to have demonstrated.  In short, I ducked my head low, braced myself, and barreled through.  I tried not the think of anything but the end of the tunnel, the end of this horrible stretch. What it was, I will not say only that it threw me.  My world shifted and it has been like a rolling sea of quicksand ever since.  Coming out the other end, I am exhausted and can barely recognize my life anymo

Art Funk

Sometimes, when you least expect it, life gives you a swift kick in the teeth.  Then, when you are on the ground, it pisses on your head while hitting you repeatedly with a hot cast-iron frying pan.  That's kinda how I feel lately. Why bad things like to happen all at once is beyond me though, it seems, not beyond my capability to handle it if my intact - if fragile - sanity is any indicator. Don't feel like getting into details; frankly it's no ones business really.  I just wanted to let everyone know to appreciate the good things they have while they have them and quit whining over the small shit that truly don't matter in the long run.

First Job

I'm a little late in updating this thing but, here goes. A couple weekends ago, I traveled down to Hampton for their Sports Festival as one of the event photographers with A-List Photography which is owned/run by a woman I met through my job at Best Buy as a camera specialist. The venue was, in a word, HUGE.  They had gymnastics, tae kown do, boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, body building, jujitsu...you name it and it was crammed into this one HUGE conference hall.  We had our own booth and my name was on the board as a photographer (Eeeee!!) My assignment was to photograph tae-kwon-do which went from 10am to 6pm (which actually went until 8

Justin,
Oh wow! Thank you so much! It's a real honor for someone to feature a piece of my work! I hope your nightly features go well! I'm on tumblr as well under the name alifirecat and I intend to start following you.

Much luck!

Thank you so much!

I really appreciate it! Thanks for checking out the site
and the words of encouragement. I've put a lot of work into
that site, and the idea of basing a lucrative site off of
Tumblr is, admittedly, a bit odd, but I enjoy doing it and
it seems to be catching on so I'll keep at it!

If you dig the site, I just opened a forum that will cover
similar topics as what are covered on the site! It's still
formative process, but I'd love to get your input! You can
find the forum here if you're interested: [link]
Thank you very much for the :+fav: on [link] !
