Little Creek at Sunrise

This is the creek out behind my house. I had stayed up all night for some reason or other. My parents had just woken up and were having coffee, getting ready for work, and wondering about their night-owlish daughter. Still wound up from diet coke and hot pockets, my fingers itching to trigger the shutter of a camera, I went out for a walk in my pajamas with just my camera and my fuzzy slippers. My red lucky charms pants were soak from the morning dew in minutes but the fresh, foggy (not the mention freezing air was too much to miss out on. I walked down to the creek where the sun was fighting to break through the mist draped over the water. The beauty of the morning brought me peace and I remember sleeping like a baby on the sofa the moment I got home.
